Resgate tipográfico - Masters thesis
[AWARDED: 33rd Casa Brasileira Museum Design Award 2019] //Thesis for Master in Design course conclusion at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi, São Paulo. The practice of type revivalism in type design is the theme of this research. The goal was to prepare a theoretical-methodological reference for the study and production of digital fonts. Although this activity has been seen in typography for many years, the information available is fragmented and sometimes tendentious. In this dissertation I intended to investigate the main characteristics of this practice, the different approaches according to type designers and its importance for design in Latin America. //Special thanks to Toshi Omagari, Pablo Cosgaya, Ron Carpenter, Gustavo Soares, Gerry Leonidas, Michele Patanè and Paul Shaw.
